Youth Recreation

Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department offers youth sports to provide fun experiences and an energetic atmosphere for kids. We want to provide the opportunity for youth to learn the fundamentals of team sports while also working on sportsmanship, teamwork, integrity, and respect for others while in a safe and honest environment. 

Summer Youth Sports

Iowa City Parks and Recreation Youth Affiliate Groups

Iowa City Boys Baseball serves Iowa City youth with an opportunity to learn baseball, teamwork and meet new friends. Games are played at City Park, 200 E. Park Rd. The Spring season runs April through June.

Iowa City Girls Softball was established in 1973, and provides girls in grades K-12 with the opportunity to learn about the game of softball and have fun while playing it. Games are played at Napoleon Park, 2501 S. Gilbert St. The Spring season runs April through June.

Iowa City Kickers Soccer is a recreation soccer program that exists to prove opportunities for all youth to develop a love for soccer, soccer skills, sportsmanship, and new friendships through equal participation for all players in grades K-12. All games are played at the Iowa City Kickers Soccer Park, 4400 Soccer Park Rd. The Spring season runs April through May.
