Snow plow crews have been out since 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20. Team 2 relieved Team 1 at 7 a.m. today, Saturday, Nov. 21, and plans on working a 12-hour shift. All plow routes are staffed. By the end of today’s shift, all streets, including residential streets, should be passable.

Starting Monday, Nov. 23, Streets crews will be looking for problem areas and opening paths to intakes as the snow melts. The snow must melt off the leaves before crews could continue with leaf collection. The Streets Division will also begin watching the rates at which the snow is melting, as well as the long term forecast to determine if and when leaf collection can resume.

We understand the public’s desire to continue with leaf collection and will have more information on the leaf program as soon as possible, but the program is suspended until further notice.

A snow route map and more information about snow plowing is available at www.icgov.org/plowing. More information about the leaf vacuum program is available at www.icgov.org/leafvacuum.
