The Iowa City Farmers Market is your one-stop shop for local produce, handmade goods – and soon, Iowa City RAGBRAI apparel.
Beginning Saturday, June 2, 2018, official Iowa City RAGBRAI T-shirts will be available for purchase along with information about how you can get involved before thousands of riders ‘Book It to Iowa City’ on Friday, July 27 for the city's first overnight stop in more than 40 years.
Shirts and volunteer information will be available at the information table at the Farmers Market located at Chauncey Swan Parking Ramp, 405 E. Washington St. The table is located at the Washington Street entrance to the ramp. Markets run Wednesday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Grab your gear and learn how you can sign up to volunteer, including offering sleeping space in your home or yard to host riders overnight. T-shirts are $20 and help pay for the cost of the overnight event. All remaining funds raised will be donated to the United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties.
Save the date for the market on Saturday, June 9 for a special RAGBRAI Pep Rally at the market, featuring an appearance by Herky the Hawkeye! Snap a few photos and help send off riders taking part in the official RAGBRAI pre-ride as they pedal out of Iowa City and off to Davenport to finish testing the 2018 route.
In addition to T-shirts, limited edition Iowa City RAGBRAI jerseys, tanks and shorts are also available online for a short time at iowacityragbrai.com/merchandise.
