Challenge your creativity during the Upcycling Convention! 
Upcycling Convention

The Upcycling Convention will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the East Side Recycling Environmental Education Center, 2401 Scott Blvd. SE. 
Participants must sign up prior to the Convention to compete. Winners will be determined from four different categories:
  • Adult
  • Student
  • Most Creative
  • Most Recycled Materials Used

The Earth Friendly Forum lecture series will take place in the Social Hall at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, 220 S. Gilbert St. All lectures will begin at 7 p.m.
Childcare will be provided for attendees (ages 3 and up). Light refreshments will be served.

Work as a team or individually to paint rain barrels on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Materials provided, but participants should bring a reusable water bottle and creativity. 

Participants must RSVP by emailing Participants that paint a barrel will have the first opportunity to buy their barrel for $24. Purchase of the unclaimed rain barrels will be open to the public after the event.

Save the date for Earth Fest on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area.  

Earth Fest will be fun for all ages with indoor and outdoor activities related to the environment, animals, and sustainability including live music, raptors,  prizes, fun activities, games, local environmental organizations, and more!

This event is a family-friendly event. No fee to participate.
