The City of Iowa City has completed another home renovation as part of its popular UniverCity Neighborhood Partnership Program.
The house, located at 926 E. Davenport Street, has undergone significant upgrades and is currently listed at $199,500. Modernizations include a brand new kitchen and bathroom, as well as new floors, paint and roof. A high-efficiency furnace/AC was also installed. The house has a two-car garage, first-floor laundry and a large yard.
This home is designated for single family occupancy. City law prohibits this specific property from being used as a rental for 20 years. The homeowner must also live in the house.

The UniverCity Neighborhood Partnership works to reverse the imbalance of homeowner-occupied vs. rental properties in the neighborhoods surrounding downtown and the University of Iowa. Since its inception in 2010, more than 60 homes have been rehabilitated and sold, helping to keep these neighborhoods safe, affordable and attractive places to live and work.
