Officers with the Iowa City and Coralville Police Departments along with the University of Iowa Department of Public Safety will host an early trick-or-treat event the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Police officers will be handing out candy at four Iowa City locations. 

The fun will kick-off from 5 to 5:30 p.m. at Shelter House, 429 Southgate Ave., and then continue from 6 to 6:30 p.m. at Hy-Vee, 1125 N. Dodge St., 7 to 7:30 p.m. at the Iowa City Public Library, 123 S. Linn St. and wrap-up from 8 to 8:30 p.m. at Fareway Grocery, 2530 Westwinds Dr. 

Kiddos and adults are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes. Officers will distribute sweets and spend time with participants. Trick-or-treat bags will also be able first-come, first-served.
