Iowa City will remove snow in Downtown Iowa City beginning at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, and end by 7 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8. Vehicles parked in tow-away zones will be removed.

Drivers should be mindful if they are parked in a tow-away zone, and move their vehicles to allow for smooth snow removal operations. Towing will begin at 2:30 a.m. and will impact Clinton Street, Dubuque Street, Linn Street, Iowa Avenue, Washington Street and College Street. Thirteen trucks will be used to haul away snow, beginning at the intersection of S. Clinton and Court Streets.

Vehicles can be moved to a Downtown Parking ramp, or to on-street parking spaces outside that are not marked 'no parking 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.'. Be sure to follow all posted signs.

If your vehicle is towed, call the Parking Division at 319-356-5151 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., or the Iowa City Police Department at 319-358-5275. Do not call 911. For more information on how to recover a towed vehicle, visit www.icgov.org/snow.

For questions, contact Streets Superintendent Brock Holub at 319-356-5181 or brock-holub@iowa-city.org
