Tickets go on sale July 1, 2017 at midnight for the second annual Farm to Street Dinner hosted by the City of Iowa City in partnership with the Downtown District and Johnson County.

The dinner will take place Thursday, August 17, 2017 outside, in the middle of North Linn Street in Iowa City. This special event supports the local food economy, while bringing the community together  to share a delicious six-course meal, using locally sourced ingredients prepared by some of Iowa City’s most talented chefs.

In 2016, the first Farm to Street Dinner was held after a partnership between the three organizations was formed to increase awareness of local food being used in local restaurants and as a way to generate funds for a chosen non-profit that works with local food in Johnson County. Last year, Farm to Schools was the beneficiary of the $10,000 raised by the dinner event. Funds raised this year will support the Iowa Valley Global Food Project, which was chosen after an application process.

Tickets are limited to 200 for this event and can be purchased for $75 per ticket online at Sales will begin at 12 a.m. Organizers believe tickets will be sold out by the end of the day, July 1.
