If your holiday shopping is still in the form of a list, this weekend’s Holiday Market is a great time to get started buying for those on your gift list.
The Iowa City Holiday Markets, scheduled on Nov. 14 and Dec. 12, are part of the City of Iowa City’s Farmers Market program. This Saturday’s event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, 220 S. Gilbert Street. Patrons can park in the adjoining Recreation Center parking lot and in the Chauncey Swan parking ramp at no charge.
Many of your favorite Farmers Market vendors will participate, bringing you homegrown, homemade, and handcrafted holiday gifts and foods to use in your own holiday decorating or holiday meals, or to give to others as gifts. The Holiday Market will be located in the gym on first floor and the Social Hall on second floor, so be sure to visit both areas for the full selection of items. By shopping locally, you’ll help support local farmers, bakers, artists, and crafters.
