The Iowa City Senior Center will present two special screenings of the documentary "The Age of Love" Thursday, June 25 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in The Center’s Assembly Room. This event is open to the public, all ages, and there is no fee to attend.

Never before in history have four active, healthy generations lived side-by-side. And now, saddled with stereotypes and outdated assumptions, American society and media must grapple to define who this 70+ set is, what exactly they need and desire.

Going right to the heart of the matter is "The Age of Love," a new documentary. Set against a first-of-its-kind speed dating event for 70- to 90-year-olds, Steven Loring’s feature follows 30 seniors. Fearlessly candid about themselves and what they’re seeking, these WWII babies soon discover how the search for love changes or doesn’t change from first love to the far reaches of life.

A winner of the Paley Center Doc Pitch Competition and awarded a Fledgling Fund grant – for films the “have the potential to change hearts and minds” in American culture - "The Age of Love" began its festival run at Newport Beach, then screened at the AARP National Expo in Boston.
