The Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center at 220 S. Gilbert Street will be closed next Monday, Aug. 31, for building maintenance. A device that protects water supplies from contamination will be replaced, requiring all water to the building to be shut down while the work is taking place. The pool, drinking fountains, showers, restrooms, and other water sources will not be operational.

Registration for activities and classes, facility reservations, sales of swim and activity passes, and other customer service-related services will be conducted at the Mercer / Scanlon facility at 2701 Bradford Drive on Monday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Robert A. Lee center is expected to reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 6 a.m.
