Registration is now underway for the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department's Winter Break Camp, which keeps kids busy, learning, and entertained during their holiday break from school. This year's camp activities focus on science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). The camp is scheduled for Dec. 27-30, 2016 and Jan. 3-4, 2017 for kindergarten through sixth grade students.

Camp activities will begin and end at Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, 220 S. Gilbert Street, and will include STEAM activities and swimming, as well as some off-site activities such as bowling and other field trips. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., although children may be checked in beginning at 7:30 a.m. and picked up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. at no additional charge.

Fees are $40 per day per child. For non-Iowa City residents, the cost is $45 per day.

Registration may be completed in one of several ways:

Mail a completed registration form with payment to the Iowa City Recreation Division, 220 S. Gilbert Street, Iowa City, IA 52240
Fax a completed registration form along with a credit card number, expiration date, and signature to 319-356-5487. This service is available 24 hours per day.
Register in person at the Customer Service Desk at either recreation facility -- Robert A. Lee or Mercer / Scanlon.
Online registration is not available for Winter Break Camp.
