It has been six years since the City published its first report on racial equity. The City publishes the data to be transparent and to show its progression on racial equity in the areas of employment, criminal justice, and inclusivity.
This year, to increase reader friendliness, the City published a Racial Equity Report Card. The Report Card compares the City's 2014 data on racial equity in employment, criminal justice, and inclusivity to 2018. The latter year reflects the most recent data the City has in these areas.
The Report Card is derived from three annual reports: the Human Rights Commission’s Annual Report, the Police Department’s Annual Reports and the Employee Statistics Report.
