The City of Iowa City is developing a streetscape master plan for Riverside Drive, an important corridor for businesses and the community within the West Riverfront Subdistrict of Riverfront Crossings. This project extends from the Highway 1 / Highway 6 intersection to Myrtle Avenue.

The final draft of the master plan, which was created based on input from area businesses, property owners, and community members over the last several months, will be presented at an open house and final public input session on Thursday, Feb. 18 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, Emma J. Harvat Council Chambers, 410 E. Washington Street.

The public is invited to the open house to review and provide feedback on plans for improved public sidewalks, landscaping, street trees, lighting, signage, and entranceway features. There will be a brief formal presentation at 5:45 p.m. followed by an informal public input session.
