Enjoy live entertainment and participate in water-themed activities at the Terry Trueblood Recreation Area Party in the Park.

From 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019, at 579 McCollister Boulevard, the party will feature a wide range of water-based activities, and much more. Activities will take place near the picnic shelter closest to the playground. 

The party kicks off with a performance by the Euleinspeigel Puppet Theatre, followed by live music performed by D’Allen Rice.

Arts and craft activities will include making pool noodle boats, stick rafts, and sand sunsets.

Another fun water activity will be learning about water flow and its impact on the landscape with a Stream Table provided by Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ Resource Enhancement and Protection Education grant.

Attendees can also expect a variety of outdoor games including a bean bag toss, giant board games, bubbles, chalk, hula hoop, and more! The party will conclude at 8 p.m. with a frozen treat for guests to enjoy.
