Spend your September Sundays meeting and enjoying your neighbors during a special series presented by Party in the Park, a popular City of Iowa City program. 

Each event will occur on Sunday afternoons, and has its own theme and entertainment. These gatherings are being hosted in neighborhoods with larger populations of student residents, and are an opportunity for neighborhoods to kick off the new school year and welcome their new neighbors. 

There is no fee to participate and all ages are welcome. Each event will include food, giant yard games, kids activities, and a variety of live performances. A large finale event will feature a stage and catered food truck fare. Schedule and details below:

Party in the Park Presents:

Back to Class at Brookland Park, 550 Greenwood Dr.
Sunday, Sept 2 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. 
Enjoy frozen treats while listening to live music by the Cedar County Cobras.

Sunday Tailgate at College Green, 600 College St. 
Sunday, Sept. 9, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. 
Enjoy hotdogs, chips, and music by Mike & Brian.

Gardens, bees, food and fun at North Market Square, 600 Fairchild St.  
Sunday, Sept. 16, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. 
Nibble on cheese, crackers and more with music by Abbie Callahan.

Heyday at Highland Park, 750 Highland Ave. 
Sunday, Sept. 23, from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
This event will be farm themed in honor of Lucas Farms, with a down-home cookin' themed menu. Enjoy the Eulenspiegel puppets at 3 p.m. followed by music by Deb Singer.

A Community Fun Fest! at Fairmeadows Park, 2500 Miami Dr. 
Sunday, Sept. 30 from 3 to 7 p.m. 
The finale event will feature local youth talent and professional entertainment performances, plus a taco bar, burgers and more.
