Enjoy a fun-filled evening with family and neighbors at Wetherby Park for Party in the Park on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

Visit Wetherby Park, located at 2400 Taylor Drive, from 6:30-8 p.m. to embrace the warm weather while participating in a variety of outdoor activities, crafts, and live entertainment. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to watch a puppet show performed by the Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre at 6:30 p.m., followed by live music from by the Iowa City Community Band at 7 p.m.

The evening’s craft activities will be coloring endangered animals and making clothes-pin dolls. Other fun happenings include playtime on the park’s playground and splash pad, exploring the Wetherby Park edible forest, and playing on the park’s sport court and 9-hole frisbee golf course.

Eat some chips and let City staff know what City government should focus on at the Chip-In table, hosted by Assistant City Manager Ashley Monroe. The table will feature poker chips with which residents can vote on what local issues are the most important to them. Free chips will be provided, along with surveys for the City’s upcoming Strategic Plan.

Party in the Park is free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, and water.
