Following the continued rise in positive COVID-19 cases in Johnson County, and after careful consideration for the health, safety, and well-being of our community, the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department has suspended the Party in the Park events.

The programs were scheduled on Thursdays in July and August. The Parks and Recreation Department will continue to work with public health officials to determine if future events can continue depending on the number of positive coronavirus cases in Johnson County.

All Iowa City residents should continue to wear a cloth mask or face shield when in public, or when social distancing is not possible.
