This week’s Party in the Park will also feature a ribbon cutting for the new pickleball courts. Stop by and learn how to play!
Iowa City Parks and Recreation's Party in the Park series continues this week on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Mercer Park, 1317 Dover Street. This week's event is extra special, with a celebratory conclusion to the Mercer Park tennis/pickleball renovation project. In addition to the Party In the Park's usual live music, crafts and frozen treats, there will be a ribbon cutting at the new Mercer Park pickleball courts at 6:15 p.m. The main event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Haven't heard of pickleball? There will be extra equipment and beginner demonstrations available at the courts throughout the Party in the Park event.
Party in the Park is a no-fee event and is open to the public. Check out the full schedule of events below.
Sponsored by the City of Iowa City’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Neighborhood Outreach Division, Party in the Park gives residents a chance to enjoy their summer evenings outdoors with friends and family while exploring the City’s many beautiful natural spaces and neighborhoods.
