The Office of Equity & Human Rights is hiring for an hourly student intern. The tentative duration of the internship is January to May 2023 with variable daytime hours totaling 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. The wage is $15 per hour.
The internship will include creating content for the Office’s Instagram through graphic design and assisting in the creativity and promotion of upcoming events. Further duties are researching and writing articles on equity, inclusion, belonging, and access for the monthly newsletter - The Lens, and creating initiatives and materials to promote awareness of the City’s strategic priority on racial equity, social justice, and human rights.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates considered must be attending an educational institution accredited by a Department of Education-recognized accreditation body. Candidates considered will need:
- Coursework or experience in graphic design or photography, or social media.
- Skills in data entry, Microsoft Office, and graphic design software, such as Canva.
- Proficient communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
