Crews will shut-down the 100 Block of N. Linn St., on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, for the second annual Farm to Street Dinner.

The event will bring together roughly 200 people who will join around an outdoor table on Linn Street and share a delicious six-course meal prepared by several downtown Iowa City chefs with locally produced ingredients.

Money raised will support local foods efforts, including the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Foundation and the Iowa Valley Global Food Project. Short remarks will be made by representatives of the organizations that planned, sponsored and have benefited from this popular community event.

The 100 block of N. Linn St. will close to traffic and no longer allow parking beginning at 11 a.m. The dinner will run from 6 to 9 p.m., and organizers expect to have the area cleaned-up and the road re-opened after 11 p.m. Sidewalks will remain open during this time. If it rains, the dinner will move to the Chauncey Swan Parking Ramp, 415 E. Washington St.

Tickets for this event went on sale in July and sold out within six hours.
