Iowa City Parks and Recreation staff is excited to offer three new adult fitness programs beginning this month.

She Swims Too!
Saturday, May 19

Fee: $1

She Swims Too! is a program that aims to empower, celebrate & encourage women of all generations and backgrounds to learn or enhance their skills in swimming. Children under the age 13 must be accompanied by an adult, 16-years-old or older.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Tuesday, May 22
7:30-8:30 p.m.
Mercer Aquatic Center Wellness Room

Balance your body, mind and spirit! This first class is free to attend. Please bring your own yoga mat. Attendees must be at least 14 years of age and sign a waiver upon entrance. If under 18 years of age, legal guardian must sign this waiver. Subsequent classes will be available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Further details about these classes will be available on the first day of class. Classes are $8 each, or patrons may purchase a 10-punch pass for $50 that is good for both Vinyasa Flow Yoga or WERQ Dance Fitness classes.  

WERQ® Dance Fitness
Wednesday, May 23
7-8 p.m.
Robert A. Lee Recreation Center

WERQ is the wildly addictive cardio dance workout based on the hottest pop and hip hop music. This first class is free to attend. Attendees must be at least 14 years of age and sign a waiver upon entrance. If under 18 years of age, legal guardian must sign this waiver. Subsequent classes will be held on Wednesdays, May 30-Aug. 8. Classes are $8 each, or patrons may purchase a 10-punch pass for $50 that is good for both Vinyasa Flow Yoga or WERQ Dance Fitness classes.
