As a part of Pride Month, the City's Office of Equity and Human Rights is hosting a webinar focusing on mental health within the LGBTQ+ community. 

The webinar, entitled "A Conversation about Mental Health and the LGBTQ+ Community," will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022, via Zoom. Those interested can register online. 

The discussion will be facilitated by Lisa Kim, MA, LISW, a licensed independent social worker in Iowa City. Originally from San Francisco, Kim graduated from San Francisco State University in 1992 with a BA in Psychology and minors in Human Sexuality Studies and Counseling. Kim went on to attend the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration where she received a MA in Social Work in 1995. She relocated to Iowa City in 1998. The focus of Kim's career has been in adolescents and families, complex post trauma, and work within the LGBTQIA+ communities.
