Phil Tyne, an instructor with the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department, is offering crochet classes for youth (ages 10 and up) and adults. Three workshops are planned. All tools and materials are included in the fee.

Stuffed Animal Spheres: After learning some basic crochet stitches, learn how to crochet a ball and add arms, legs, and other features to make a cute animal! Class: 10:30 a.m. to noon, Saturdays, Nov. 2, 9, and 16. Cost: $10 for the three-day workshop.

Hats and Scarves: Learn how to make basic crochet stitches to end up with a complete hat or scarf; or maybe even both! Class: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, Monday, Dec. 30, 2019. Cost: $10.00 for the three-day workshop.

Crochet Monsters: Crochet adorable little monsters to keep or give a way! Basic crochet knowledge or completion of Stuffed Animal Spheres required. Class: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020. Cost: $10 for the three-day workshop.
