City of Iowa City administrative offices at City Hall, 410 E. Washington  St., will be closed Monday, Sept. 4, 2017 for the Labor Day holiday. Other City facilities that will close or operate on special schedules include:

Airport: The administration office will be closed, but Jet Air (FBO) will be open regular hours.

Animal Care and Adoption Center: Closed.

Landfill and Recycling Center: Closed.

Library: Closed.

Parking: City parking ramps will not be cashiered and parking meters will not be enforced. 

Parks and Recreation: Administrative offices will be closed on Labor Day, but both the Robert A. Lee and Mercer/Scanlon recreational facilities will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The indoor pools at Robert A. Lee Recreation Center and Mercer Park Aquatic Center will be open 1 to 8 p.m. City Park pool will be open 11:30 a.m to 8 p.m., and will operate limited hours from Labor Day until Saturday, Sept. 16 when the pool closes for the season. Police: Administration and Records offices will be closed, but Patrol will operate as usual.

Solid Waste: Refuse, recycling, and yard waste will not be collected on Labor Day. Residents on the Monday route should have their materials at the curb by 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, although the City cannot determine exactly when items will be collected. Residents on the Tuesday through Friday routes should follow their normal schedule and have materials at the curb by 7 a.m.

Senior Center: The Senior Center will be closed, and senior meals will not be served or delivered.

Transit: City buses will not operate on Labor Day.
