The Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County (MPOJC), the county-wide planning organization for Johnson County, announces that the first of five Future Forward 2045 transportation surveys is open for responses. Feedback on the initial survey will be used to develop more detailed surveys for the following modes of transportation -- automobile, bicycle, and transit -- and the youth population.

The survey is available online at and will remain open until March 1, 2016. All responses are anonymous and the complete survey results will be used at a series of public workshops be held in Iowa City, Coralville, and North Liberty in late March and early April.

Survey responses will help guide the development of the Future Forward 2045 Transportation Plan, a requirement for securing state and federal funding for transportation projects, that will help guide metropolitan area decision-making regarding transportation improvements and investments extending 25 years into the future.
