Beginning Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, the Iowa River Corridor Trail at Riverfront Crossings Park will be closed from South Clinton/Kirkwood to the south side of Highway 6. The trail will be closed for the remainder of the week, weather dependent.
This trail work is part of Phase One of the larger Rivefront Crossings Park project, which includes restoration of Ralston Creek, wetland creation, trail connections to the surrounding neighborhoods, a bridge connection to 2nd Street, and the addition of a new parking area at the north end of the park. The majority of the work is set for completion this fall, with parking area construction expected to be completed in spring 2018.
