Trail repairs that were set to be made to the Iowa River Trail today have been rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 2 due to the weather. The work will be performed by the City of Iowa City’s Streets and Parks Divisions on sections of the trail that run from Napoleon Lane, where the City’s Streets and Parks offices are located, north to the area near Hills Bank, at the intersection of Highway 6 and Gilbert Street.

Those trail sections will be closed while work is underway. Signage will be posted at various trailheads and trail access points to notify users. The trail will be reopened by 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3.
