May is Bike Month in Johnson County. This month-long celebration is replacing Bike to Work Week as the corridor community has outgrown one week of jam-packed events!

Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty and University Heights, along with area partners and cycling organizations, are all participating in the month-long celebration, organized by Think Bicycles of Johnson County. 

Events specific to the City of Iowa City include a Bike to Work Month Declaration, which will be made at the Iowa City City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 2, a Southside Bike Tour on Saturday, May 6 and the annual Car-Bus-Bike race on Monday, May 15. Community favorites include breakfasts at local bike shops and the famous New Pi Co-op to Co-op Ride. The celebration will wrap with a party at the new Big Grove Brewery and Taproom in Iowa City on Wednesday, May 31.
