The City has announced road closures for the Iowa City Pride festival and parade on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
Road closures will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday to allow festival vendors to set up. The following roads will be closed:
- Linn Street from Iowa Avenue to the Linn Street alley just north of the Iowa City Public Library.
- Washington Street from Dubuque to Linn streets.
On-street parking will not be allowed on these streets starting at 6 a.m. until the festival has concluded, which will be late Saturday night.
Parade
The Pride parade will begin at noon at College Green Park, and will use the following route:
- North on Johnson Street, starting at College Green Park
- West on Iowa Avenue
- South on Dubuque Street
- East on Washington Street
- South on Linn Street
- East on College Street, ending at College Green Park
On-street parking along the parade route will not be allowed from 6 a.m. Saturday until after the parade ends, around 1 p.m.
