On Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at approximately noon, Iowa City Police responded to the 3000 block of East Court Street for multiple reports of shots being fired. While responding, additional calls came in reporting a second group of shots being fired nearby in the 400 block of South Scott Boulevard. Officers responded and spoke with witnesses who reported that a dark-skinned male had exited a tan sedan and fired multiple shots. A second dark-skinned male was seen on foot with a gun in the 400 block of Scott when additional shots were fired. The tan vehicle was last seen leaving the area southbound on Scott at a high rate of speed. Officers located shell casings and property damage corroborating the witness reports of multiple shots being fired. These two incidents are believed to be related. There were no reports of injuries and no additional information available at that time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275. In addition, anyone in that area with security cameras is asked to review their recordings and contact the Iowa City Police Department with any potential footage or information about this incident.
