Iowa City Police have responded to two convenience store robberies recently.

At 8:27 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21, an armed subject entered BP, 2221 Rochester Ave., and robbed the business at gunpoint. At 8:36 p.m., Monday, Oct. 24, Kirkwood Liquor & Tobacco, 300 Kirkwood Ave., was robbed at gunpoint.

Iowa City Police are actively investigating both robberies. Convenience store employees and community members are asked to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Anyone who sees something suspicious should call 911 or the routine police business number, 319-356-5275.
