The City of Iowa City Human Rights Office offers complimentary brochures as an educational resource to the community. 

The “Know Your Rights” brochure series includes information on responding to bias and hate crimes and are available in English, French, Arabic, Spanish and Chinese. There is also a PowerPoint presentation available for the public to download. Digital copies of the brochures and the PowerPoint are available at icgov.org/humanrightsinfo. Printed brochures are available outside the Human Rights Office Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by calling 319-356-5022. 

A recently passed resolution reaffirming the public safety function of local law enforcement is also available in English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and French. Electronic copies are available by clicking the Social Justice and Racial Equity link found at icgov.org/humanrights. Hard copies are available at the Iowa City Public Library, 123 S. Linn Street, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. or by calling 319-356-5200.
