Park Road has completely reopened to traffic.

Crews are still working in the area, so drivers should be cautious and can expect some delays especially where Park Road and Dubuque Street meet.

Park Road between Riverside Drive and the Upper City Park exit closed in mid-July for continued work on the Iowa City Gateway Project, a flood mitigation effort that will elevate Dubuque Street while also raising and replacing the Park Road Bridge.

Dubuque Street continues to be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction between Foster Road and Ronalds Street and will remain that way until the project is completed in 2018. Access to Dubuque Street from Brown Street and Kimball Road remains closed.

Drivers should allow for extra travel time when using Dubuque Street and are encouraged to use an alternative route.

The Gateway Project timeline is fluid and subject to change. To receive e-mail updates sign-up for City of Iowa City e-subscriptions, follow the City on Twitter and like the City on Facebook using hash-tag #ICgateway. Visit icgov.org/gatewayproject to learn more.
