Iowa City Animal Services is asking for the public's help in identifying a dog and its owner after a recent bite. 

The incident happened around 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017,  near the northwest corner of Lucas and Ronalds Streets. The victim was walking his dog on leash and noticed another person with a dog on leash across the street.

The victim said the other person dropped the leash, and her dog attacked the victim’s dog. The victim was bit while separating the dogs.

The dog involved in the incident is described as a brown, 60-pound Pit Bull, referred to as "Archie." 

The person walking the dog was described a female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with long hair, and in her 20s. 

Animal Services wants to verify the dog's rabies vaccination status.
