Iowa City Animal Services received notification on Aug. 22, 2016 about a person who was bitten by a dog on Aug. 21. 

According to the information provided, the person reached down to pet the dog and was subsequently bitten while standing outside The Konnexion, 106 S. Linn Street, around 7 p.m. on Aug. 21. 

The dog is described as a black and white pit bull that is shorter in size and appears younger, with a half black and half white face. The individuals with the dog are described as two males and a female with a baby in a green stroller.  

Iowa City Animal Services is seeking information regarding the rabies vaccination of the dog.
