Iowa City Animal Services is looking for information on a dog that bit a bicyclist near Rita's Ranch Dog Park on Scott Blvd. on Thursday, June 23, 2016. The Animal Center received notice of the incident on Monday, June 27.

According to the information provided, on June 23 at around 8 p.m. near the entrance to the dog park, the victim was bicycling in the area adjoining the park and was approached by two dogs being walked on-leash. The victim was bitten on the ankle by one of the dogs, a medium-large, orange and white short-haired dog. The person with the dog was described as a middle-aged white male. He was accompanied by another man.

Iowa City Animal Services is seeking information regarding the rabies vaccination of the dog. Anyone with information about the identity of the dog owner is encouraged to contact Iowa City Animal Services directly at 319-356-5295 ext. #7 or the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-6800.
