Intersection of First and Scott to be closed starting Oct. 6; detours announced

Online maps will be unavailable beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, due to maintenance. This work will update the ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase.

A map of the detour for the Scott Blvd. and First Ave. intersection closure in Oct. 2022.

To complete the First Avenue and Scott Boulevard Intersection Improvements project, the intersection will be closed beginning Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022. This closure is dependent on weather.

The new roundabout in the area will be open once the closure is finished. Depending on weather, the intersection should reopen Friday, Oct. 21, 2022.

During the closure, a detour route will be posted and includes North Dodge Street, North Governor Street, Burlington Street, Muscatine Avenue, Court Street, and First Avenue.
