The City of Iowa City, in coordination with Friends of Hickory Hill Park, is developing a park master plan. Project goals and objectives that have been identified include:

  1. Improve wayfinding and signage
  2. Improvements to bridges and trails
  3. Review park programming
  4. Improve park identification
  5. Recommend trail surfacing materials
  6. Improve access to the northern park area.

The first public meeting was held Sunday, March 13, and was well attended. If you were not able to attend, please review the attached files for park information. We will collect general public input for this project until Friday, April 1. At that point, the design team will incorporate public comments into a draft design. Once completed, there will be a second public input meeting and comment period on the more refined plan. Details regarding the date/place/time of this second meeting will be released when confirmed.
