First Avenue will reopen Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at 8 a.m. following a two week closure.

The road will reopen allowing one lane of traffic in each direction.

First Avenue closed two weeks ago to allow for the removal of the temporary road and to pave new lanes under the raised railroad bridge. The work is part of the First Avenue Grade Separation Project, which will elevate the railroad crossing and lower the road, helping to eliminate long train delays.
