In honor of Juneteenth, the Office of Equity and Human Rights is hosting a two-night virtual event, June 14-15, 2022, based on "High on the Hog: A Culinary Journey from Africa to America," by Jessica B. Harris, recipient of the James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award.
The book was adapted into a Netflix series, "High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America," hosted by food expert Stephen Satterfield. Watch the trailer here .
