Dubuque Street will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic between Kimball and Park Roads beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017.

MidAmerican Gas Company will make the final connection between recently installed gas lines. At the same time, contractors will place a new box culvert section at Kimball Road.

Flaggers will direct traffic while the work is being done. Normal traffic is expected to resume Monday evening.

Drivers should allow for extra time or take an alternative route while work is being completed. As always, use caution when traveling through construction.

The contact person for this work is Nick Schueller with Q3 Contracting at 515-559-7308.

The Iowa City Gateway Project is a flood mitigation effort that is elevating Dubuque Street while raising and replacing the Park Road Bridge.
