A draft of the Iowa City Public Art Strategic Plan is available online, and the City is seeking the public's input to shape the plan.
The text-only draft can be found online at the Public Art Strategic Plan's website. A graphically formatted document will be evolving throughout the review process and will be uploaded on the site in the coming days.
The public is asked to give their feedback and input from now until Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019. Feedback can be sent to Marcia Bollinger, the City's Public Art Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 319-356-5237. Mail feedback can be sent to Attn: Macia Bollinger, Iowa City City Hall, 410 E. Washington St., Iowa City, IA 52240.
The Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC) will host a final public input meeting on at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 5. 2019 at at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, Meeting Room A to also receive public input regarding the plan.
The committee may choose to recommend approval of the plan to the City Council at that meeting, or subsequent meeting, and the plan will be scheduled for review by the City Council. Updates will be provided on the website.
