On Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 2:37a.m., the Iowa City Police Department responded to 1946 Broadway St. Apt. #E for a report of shots fired. Prior to the police arriving on scene, the caller reported the male suspect took off in an unknown direction. Weather permitting on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, as work continues on the Sycamore Street – City Limits to S. Gilbert Street Project, the next phase will require the closure of the Sycamore Street at Lehman Avenue to allow for reconstruction of the intersection.

During the closure, access for Lehman Avenue and Kountry Lane traffic will be routed along the north–south segment of Sycamore Street.

Weather permitting, on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, North Dodge Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic from North Governor Street to Brown Street. This lane reduction is necessary to accommodate a sanitary sewer repair in the area. The road will be re-opened to normal traffic by the end of the day on Friday, August 21st. Motorists are to allow extra travel time as delays may be possible. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling in construction areas.
