Riverside Trail from Kelly's Auto, 510 S. Riverside Dr., to Benton Street will be closed for bridge repair from Thursday, March 3, through Friday, March 4, 2022.

A detour utilizing the sidewalk on the eastern side of Riverside Drive will be used during the closure.

Three additional glass drop-off locations have been established for our service area (residents of Johnson County, Kalona, Riverside) to recycle glass at no cost.

The new locations will be for glass only (except for Coralville Drop-off Recycling Center); there will not be recycling options for plastic, metal, paper, or cardboard. As a reminder, the glass drop-off bins have been recently painted purple.

With the snowfall of about 2.5 inches ending around 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, sidewalks in Iowa City must be cleared within 24-hours of a one-inch or greater snowfall, or after any accumulation of ice has ended, for sidewalks to be used safely by pedestrians.
