Community Connection is a video series that highlights different people and organizations in our community to discuss the issues that are important to our residents. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Juneteenth Celebrations in both Iowa City and Cedar Rapids had to be canceled. Thankfully, the African American Museum of Iowa is offering a virtual event. Mayor Bruce Teague speaks with Executive Director LaNisha Cassell about the importance of this day of observance, especially as it relates to the Black Lives Matter movement. Click here to watch.
