Weather permitting, from midnight to 6 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019, Clinton Street will be closed to traffic from Court Street to Jefferson Street in order to re-draw pavement markings and install bike lanes.

Lane reductions will follow by 6 a.m.

The bike lanes were set to be installed beginning Wednesday, May 29, 2019, but installation was delayed due to rain and storms.

The existing pavement markings will be removed in preparation for converting Clinton Street from four lanes of traffic to three lanes, with a designated center turn lane and bike lanes.

It is anticipated the street will re-open to one lane of traffic in each direction by 6:00 a.m. that day. This section of Clinton Street will close again at midnight on Tuesday, June 4, to allow for the installation of permanent pavement markings.

Clinton Street will re-open to three lanes of traffic with bike lanes by 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

This road closure is a part of the Burlington Clinton Intersection Improvements Project. The above dates are dependent on weather.
