The City of Iowa City recently launched an East Side Sports Complex Master Plan community engagement platform to seek feedback from residents on our current parks, programs and facilities, and gather input on how they can be improved for the future. 

This feedback will be used to develop our master plan design. The plan will identify recreation needs of the East Side Sports Complex. The planning process combines analysis of the Department of Parks and Recreation’s assets and programs with the insight and information gathered from community members. The end goal is consensus on preferred strategies and a road map for implementation that will guide the design. 

This online discussion portal is an opportunity to comment on topics, contribute ideas, submit photos and interact with fellow park district residents. In addition to this website, there will be a community input meeting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center, 220 S. Gilbert St.
