Other offices or facilities that will be closed or will operate on a revised holiday schedule are as follows:

Airport: Office will be closed, but Jet Air (FBO) will be open regular business hours. Details at 

Animal Care and Adoption Center: Closed.

Oakland Cemetery: Closed.

Landfill and Recycling Center: Closed.

Library: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Parks and Recreation: Offices closed, but Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, Mercer/Scanlon and pools will be open regular hours. Details at

Parking: Parking will run normal operations. Details at

Police: The Police Dept. will function as normal. Records and administrative office closed.

Senior Center: Closed. Senior meals will not be served.

Trash & Recycling: Refuse, recycling, and yard waste will not be picked up on Monday. Residents on the Monday route should have their materials at the curb by 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, although the City cannot determine exactly when items will be collected.

Transit: On Monday, Iowa City Transit will operate on a "Saturday schedule," from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. More information at

Water: The Water Division office will be closed; residents with a water emergency should call the 24-hour emergency line at 319-356-5166 for assistance.

City offices and operations will return to normal schedules on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
