City of Iowa City administrative offices at City Hall will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Information on other City offices or facilities that will be closed or that will operate on a revised holiday schedule follows. Airport: Office will be closed, but Jet Air (FBO) will be open regular business hours.

Animal Care and Adoption Center: Closed.

Landfill and Recycling Center: Closed.

Library: Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Parks and Recreation: Offices closed, but Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, Mercer/Scanlon and pools will be open regular hours.

Parking: Parking will run normal operations.

Police: The Police station front desk will be open, and patrol personnel and station masters will be on duty.

Senior Center: Closed. Senior meals will not be served.

Solid Waste: Refuse, recycling and yard waste will not be picked up on Monday. Residents on the Monday route should have their materials at the curb by 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, although the City cannot determine exactly when items will be collected.

Transit: On Monday, Iowa City Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Water: The Water Division office will be closed, but a 24-hour emergency line and on-call staff will be available. Residents who have a water emergency should call 319-356-5166 for assistance.

City offices and operations will return to normal schedules on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
